North Shore Rescue needs public’s help for new facility

North Shore Rescue is in the final stages of completing a brand new base, but they haven’t quite gathered enough donations, so and they’re turning to the public.

The new base is short 70-thousand dollars for some vital equipment needed for proper training.

Rescue Team Leader Tim Jones says considering their multiple search and rescue efforts over the last week alone, he hopes the public will help them add last minute touches to the new facility.

“We’ve done the best we can by a quiet fund raising campaign and we’ve got to a point where you see how busy we were, we need the public to help us finish this off so we can do our job that much better.”

Donations can be made online at www.northshorerescue.com, or by mail to 147 East 14th Street, North Vancouver, V7L2N4.
