Workers have found some old blasting caps at a home under renovation in the unit block West 17th Avenue in Vancouver.
The house has been cordoned off.
The police bomb squad has been called in check out the material and remove it from the home.
The area has been blocked off and efforts to safely destroy the material may last well into the evening.
