Vancouver residents are marking Earth Day with a parade along Commercial Drive.
Among the crowd, Grade 11 student Angela Ho says she’s worried about the possible environmental consequences from projects like the proposed Northern Gateway oil pipeline.
“If these things do happen, then we’re going to have to deal with the consequences. And I don’t think we’re able to deal with it right now.”
Parade organizers are also circulating a petition aimed at halting the pipeline’s construction.
