About 250 people can return to their homes in Swansea Point in the Shuswap area after their evacuation order has been lifted.
Robyn Cyr with the Shuswap emergency program explains that the situation has stabilized.
“They did a flyover of the two creeks actually yesterday and determined that there was no danger of any further debris coming down at this time so they have let them go home.”
Eighty people remain under evacuation order in the two-mile area.
