Transportation Safety Board investigators will be back this morning at the site of float plane crash in Pitt Lake yesterday.
The Cessna 172 was on a training flight out of Pitt Meadows airport when something went wrong and it crash-landed in the lake.
Nearby boaters were able to help the student pilot, but the instructor with the Pacific Rim Aviation Academy remained trapped inside.
His body recovered later by SAR techs with a rescue Cormorant helicopter.
It’s not clear what caused the accident.
