A petition to amend the Police Act has been withdrawn.
It was launched by former NDP leadership hopeful and marijuana activist Dana Larsen.
Larsen said back in September this was pretty much a “test run”, and he wasn’t looking at chasing down the signatures needed to actually change the act.
But now that he knows he can challenge the act, he plans to get the framework in place over the next year to gather the needed signatures, 10 percent in each of bc’s 85 ridings.
