Police from four Metro Vancouver cities are looking for a man who has been robbing stores at gun point.
Detective Constable Joe Danieli with Vancouver Police says the suspect has hit eight retailers since March.
Danieli says the man, believed to be in his 60’s, usually strikes on weekends during the dinner hour.
He says his M-O has been to approach a cashier when no one else is around, except for once.
“He was actually confronted by a staff member who tried to stop him and in the process that staff member was pistol whipped”
Danieli says investigators think the suspect is escalating his behaviour and are concerned for public safety.
Robberies have happened in North and West Vncouver, Burnaby and Vancouver.
