Pollster Angus Reid fires back at Premier dismissing latest survey

Premier Christy Clark’s attempt to laugh off poll results showing only three in 10 British Columbians like her have offended pollster Angus Reid.

“She seems to want to have us stand out in some way. You’d think she’d be happy that we actually are employing 250 people here in the province of British Columbia.”

Speaking with CKNW’s Jon McComb on The World Today, Reid admits he’s puzzled by Clark’s comments trying to discredit his company.

“Maybe at least it’s time to say, you know, please Madame Premier, back off. If you want to look at records, you can look at our record, but you may want to look at your own record because there’s a lot of people in B.C. looking at that record and they don’t like what they see.”

The poll suggests Clark’s approval rating has dropped to 30 per cent from 40 per cent in December, while NDP leader Adrian Dix is up to 53 per cent.
