Possible hit-and-run in South Surrey with cyclist

The RCMP in Surrey are looking for the driver of a dump truck after a possible hit-and-run with a cyclist.

Sgt. Paul Reshaur says the woman was riding west along 16th Avenue at 180th Street, when a dump truck and trailer travelling in the same direction clipped her and sent her into the ditch.

“The dump truck driver kept on driving. We’re unsure if he or she was aware that they hit the cyclist.”

Reshaur says she was airlifted to Royal Columbian Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
