Premier Christy Clark is clearly hoping that pollsters in BC are just as off base as their colleagues in Alberta who were predicting a victory by the Wildrose party.
Clark beamed when asked for her reaction to Progressive Conservative Premier Alison Redford’s surprise electoral victory last night.
“…….I phoned her last night and congratulated her and I said you know Alison, how did the pollsters get it so wrong? And she said, Christy I can’t believe that you of all people are asking me that.”
“…….so you think the polls are wrong here, Premier?”
“……well, I’ve said to you guys all along, I don’t put a whole lot of stock in polls.”
Clark says the old political adage is true–the only poll that matters is on election day.
