Premier wants to meet the public, not reporters

It appears the Premier is shifting gears when it comes to getting her message out to the public.

For the last couple of days it’s been difficult for reporters to track down Christy Clark.

She refused to stop and take questions last Friday at an event in Vancouver.

Yesterday she greeted commuters along the Broadway corridor during the morning rush with no reporters in sight.

Media only found out about it on Twitter after the fact.

Clark’s spokesperson Sam Oliphant confirms reporters were not invited.

He says the Premier likes to get out and meet people face to face and will be doing more of that in coming weeks.
Asked if there’s anyone available to talk about the apparent new strategy, Oliphant says “I’m not sure about that.”
