Questions raised over tentative deal

Questions are being raised about the tentative settlement reached between the City of Vancouver and the union that represents clerical, technical and administrative employees.

On Sunday afternoon the city issued a short news release saying a tentative deal had been struck with Cupe Local 15 but no further details would be released until ratification is complete.

Jordan Bateman with the Canadian Taxpayers Federation says usually taxpayers know in advance what both parties are expecting.

Bateman says the deal likely includes a pay hike that will drive up taxes.
