VANCOUVER – Radiant Communications Corp. (TSXV:RCN) reported a wider second-quarter loss Thursday despite an increase in revenue and said it had named an interim replacement for president and CEO David Buffett, who has resigned.
Vancouver-based Radiant, which offers a suite of data communications and cloud computing services to business, said it had a net loss of $ 237,569 or two cents per share in the three months ended June 30.
That compared with a net loss of $ 166,199 or a penny per share in the same 2010 period.
Revenue was $ 8.1 million, up 4.9 per cent from $ 7.8 million in the prior-year period.
Buffett’s replacement is Paul Healy, an experienced telecommunications leader who has held executive positions at both BCE and Rogers Communications including president Bell Canada, Western Canada, the company said.
His appointment is effective Aug. 30.
