RCMP: Officer killed in crash was speeding, didn’t have emergency equipment activated

Surrey mounties now say a 28 year old officer killed in a crash last month, was speeding and didn’t have his emergency equipment activated in the moments before.

Mounties say the preliminary investigation — through GPS and video evidence — shows Constable Adrian Oliver was trying to find a pick-up truck that had recently been stolen.

Oliver’s vehicle collided with a semi truck early in the morning on November 13th.

It happened at 148th Street and 64th Avenue.
