Richmond brothers aquitted in gay-bashing attack

Two brothers accused of beating a gay couple in Vancouver have been aquitted.

Parminder and Ravinder Bassi  of Richmond have been found not guilty by a provincial court judge who determined the evidence of the victims, David Holtzman and Peter Regier, as well as some witnesses, was unreliable.

The accused fought with the victims in June of 2010, after one brother was spotted urinating outside a building on Keefer Street.

The judge says he could not believe beyond a reasonable doubt the Bassi brothers were correctly identified as the attackers.
