Robert Barnet has been charged in yesterday’s alleged attempted abduction of his three year old son.
Barnet has been charged with abduction by a parent or guardian, and theft over $ 5,000.
The 39-year old was arrested this morning after he and his son, Alvin were spotted in Whitefish, Montana.
Police say a man who Barnet had asked for money reported the pair.
Alvin was tired and hungry but otherwise okay.
Authorities in Montana say Alvin is with family services.
Barnet is in custody.
He and Alvin vanished yesterday during a supervised visit at a hotel in Sparwood — triggering an Amber Alert.
