Santa making a stop in Vancouver for 9th annual parade

Sunday is the ninth annual Santa Claus parade.  This means getting around in the downtown core could also be a little tricky, if you don’t have a sleigh.

Santa Claus is coming to Vancouver, rain or shine at 1pm.

Translink is warning people to plan ahead of time and come early if they want to catch a glimpse of Kris Kringle .

The parade route starts out along Georgia at Broughton and continues east, turning south on Howe and finishing on Davie street.

Most downtown buses will be affected between 10:30 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon.

The festivities also include the Christmas Square at the corner of Georgia and Howe before the parade kicks off.

And if you want to be on Santa’s good list, bring a cash donation or non perishable food item which will be collected by volunteers along the parade route.
