Roberto Luongo is out, and Cory Schneider is in.
That’s the goaltending switch from the Vancouver Canucks ahead of Game 2 in their series against the L.A. Kings Sunday night.
Dave Sheldon, host of CKNW’s Sportstalk Weekend, likes the move.
“Luongo hasn’t played that bad, but this team needs something. Why not bring in a guy who was second in the league in goals against average, third in the league in save percentage? He had 20 wins this year, and he’s played well on the road, so I think Schneider’s a good choice.”
Luongo has let in seven goals so far this post-season.
Game time is 7:30 p.m.
