Search continues for missing Burnaby senior

The search for a woman missing since the middle of January will continue tomorrow.

Staff Sgt. Rob Lemon says Burnaby Mounties and Coquitlam Search and Rescue will be looking in the southeast portion of Burnaby Mountain for 66 year old Gui Feng Tong tomorrow.

Searchers were on the mountain last weekend.

“Well we’ve been searching in different ways since then, following up on a number of tips from the public and searching other areas that the tips have been coming in to draw our attention elsewhere, but now we’re starting anew at another portion of the park while still continuing to follow up tips from the public.”

Tong is five-feet tall, 100 pounds, with a slim build.

She walks and uses transit, and only speaks Mandarin.

If you know where she is or have seen her in the past three days, call Burnaby RCMP.
