Search crews reach helicopter wreckage west of Terrace

After being hampered by harsh weather and avalanche risk, authorities have finally reached wreckage of a helicopter crash west of Terrace.

The A Star 350 machine carrying three people on a training mission went down yesterday morning.

Mounties, the coroner, and federal transportation officials are now working to recover the victims’ remains before the weather changes again.

The machine belongs to Fort St. John-based Bailey Helicopters.

One of the pilots has been identified as 45-year-old Peter Bryant of Terrace.
