Twelve-hundred unionized workers at Simon Fraser University are set to vote on whether or not to strike after two years without a contract.
John Bannister with CUPE Local 33-38 says the union has made proposals for modest wage increases to account for cost of living increases, but the University has not made any concrete wage proposals, “The employer came to the table with concessions and no wage offer and we’ve yet to receive any wage offer from them.”
The vote takes place from September 25th to 27th.
