Two men are in hospital after a shooting in the heart of Downtown Vancouver.
Police Inspector Bob Stewart says it’s too early to confirm anything, but it has all the hallmarks of a targeted hit.
“All we know is that around midnight, outside a restaurant in the 1000 block of Alberni Street, patrons were exiting the restaurant and a gunman approached — a number of shots were fired. Two people were hit; both victims were taken to hospital. The gunman escaped on foot.”
No word yet on the condition of the two victims.
Alberni Street remains blocked to traffic between Thurlow and Burrard.
