Shooting in Surrey leaves woman injured

SURREY, B.C. – A woman has been rushed to hospital in Surrey, B.C., following an early morning shooting.

RCMP say the young victim is seriously injured, but there are few other details about her condition.

The incident occurred just before 1:30 a.m., in or around a parking garage in a busy section of central Surrey, close to the Simon Fraser University campus and a SkyTrain station.

Investigators remained at the scene through the night.

They haven’t said if the shooting may have been random or targeted.

Officers confirm no arrests have been made. (News1130)
