Premier Christy Clark’s Vancouver constituency office will be behind a picket line today, starting at 10 a.m.
That’s when community-based social service workers are set to rally for better services and wages.
Patsy Harmston with the BC Government and Service Employees Union says 15,000 workers are affected.
“We’re amongst the lowest wage earners in the public sector. Our members are really struggling, quite frankly, with trying to earn a living and trying to support their families.”
Vancouver’s job action will be followed by walkouts in Kamloops Wednesday and Prince George Thursday.
