The Transit Police still don’t know who placed an explosive along the skytrain line in Surrey, or how they put it on the tracks.
Transit Police spokesperson Anne Drennan says it would be unlikely someone could toss the explosive up onto the tracks as the location in which it was found was quite high.
So how it got up there is still a mystery.
One thing that is certain: it would have packed some punch according to the experts who examined it.
“It’s very difficult because they detonate the device in a controlled environment, to know what the impact might have been. However they do say that this was a dangerous device.”
Drennan says there’s no indication two other bomb scares at skytrain stations on Friday were related.
