Street racers fined; vehicles impounded

Four high-end vehicles have been taken off the road after some early morning street racing in Metro Vancouver.

They were racing westbound on the Trans-Canada toward the Iron Workers Memorial Bridge around 2:20 this morning.

The vehicles hit speeds in the 160 kilometre an hour range. 

Police say the vehicles involved were a BMW, Subaru-Impreza, Nissan, and Porsche.

The vehicles were impounded and drivers given fines of 483 dollars.
