Surrey RCMP release video from hit and run

Surrey RCMP are releasing footage from a recent hit and run. If you can help in the investigation, contact Surrey RCMP.

Part of the RCMP statement:

The footage shown is from an intersection camera located in the 3200 block of 152nd Street where this incident occurred.

The suspect vehicle can be observed striking the victims in the crosswalk at approximately 7:43:45 pm (located on the left hand side of the screen). The vehicle is described as a white coloured crossover style vehicle.

“It is our hope that this new evidence will prompt anyone who might have been a witness to contact the Surrey RCMP as soon as possible,” says Surrey RCMP Cpl. Bert Paquet.

“Our investigators are making great progress in this case and we would like to remind the driver involved that it is never too late to do the right thing. It is always better to approach the police than have the police approach you.”

One of the two victims has been released from the hospital, while the other one remains in hospital with severe but non-life threatening injuries.

The incident occurs around the 3:40 mark on the video.
