Surrey stabbing murder could be result of home invasion: police

New details on the overnight murder from a double-stabbing in the Fraser heights area of Surrey.

Sgt. Jennifer pound, with the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team, says the homicide may be the result of a home invasion of break and enter.

It happened last night at an upscale home near 110th Avenue and 168th Street.

Pound says the suspected intruder is dead, while the tenant of a basement suite has been released from hospital.

“We believe that it was not just a random act. But again, we’re trying to determine the relationship of these two men.”

Pound says evidence from the inside of the home suggests a significant struggle took place.
