Teen girl stands by her story

 

The RCMP stand by allegations a young woman was raped at a 2010 Pitt Meadows rave party, despite the fact sexual assault charges against a young man were stayed by the crown yesterday.

The young woman and her father have sat before the media and read brief prepared statements, both saying they are devestated the charges have been stayed.

Sgt. Peter Thiessen says the RCMP stand by allegations the woman was raped and he says be believes the cone of silence stille exists among some people.

 “…..we know there are individuals out there that can provide significant evidence and information to investigators in regards to what occured there”

 Thiessen says the RCMP will not stop in their bid to aquire more evidence.
