Terrace man facing stun-gun related charges

A 28-year-old man from Terrace is facing charges after border agents seized a parcel containing 21 stun guns.
RCMP say border officials were sorting through international mail last month in Vancouver when they came across a package from Hong Kong destined for Terrace.

“It was marked ‘electrical toys,’ and as a result of their search, it turned out to be actually 21 flashlight-style stun guns.”

Sergeant Dave Uppal says Mounties then searched a home in Terrace and found five more stun guns, along with some marijuana and prescription drugs.
A 28-year-old man was arrested and faces several charges, including possession of a prohibited weapon.
Uppal says he is not known to police.
