Terrace Mountie plans to plead guilty to assault

A Terrace Mountie — accused of assault while on duty back in 2010 — has decided not to go to ahead with a trial.

Constable Robert Hull was charged last year in connection to an October 2010 incident, when he allegedly punched a drunk woman after she had been arrested outside a local night club.

At the time, he pleaded not guilty.

But CKNW has learned Hull is changing his mind.

The trial was supposed to start May 2, but instead, the constable plans to enter a guilty plea.

A court date has been set for next week.

Hull is currently on administrative duty.
