The explosions rocked the area, and the smoke could be seen for miles

Much of a North Langley business was levelled Tuesday.

Fire crews were called to Ken Johnson Trucking in the area of 96-A Street and Telegraph Trail around 2:00.

Assistant Chief Bruce Ferguson is with the Township of Langley Fire Department. He says at least one tanker exploded, leaving tanker parts all over the back parking lot, “Several explosions while we were here. We’re assuming that it was probably shop supplies, acetylene tanks, that kind of thing. Tires as well on some of the units that were burning.”

One employee was injured and was airlifted to hospital.
