The leader of the BC Conservatives and rebel members thrown out of the party for opposing him are at odds once again, this time over the state of a legal battle.
John Cummins told reporters Wednesday the court showdown with the so called dissidents is over.
“Oh no that is far behind us it has been dealt with and it is no longer an issue.”
But one of those so called dissidents, Allison Patton, says the legal fight is unresolved.
“I agree that at one time we had indications an understanding had been reached but we have not recieved any formal letter representing these indications that we thought were forthcoming from the party, or the partys lawyer, or Mr. Cummins, so as far as we are concerned the matter has not been resolved to our satisfaction.”
However Patton says there is no time in court scheduled either.
“Officially I don’t have an exact date of that but the lawyers are dealing with this matter still.”
The BC Conservatives had rejected memberships of several members who were persistent in demanding John Cummins resign.
