Canadian Blood Services is looking for more blood donors this Easter Weekend.
Spokeswoman Angela Poon says long weekends are a challenge to find blood donors, “People are busy doing other things. They’re away from their normal routines; they’re spending time with family and they’re just not thinking about blood donation. It becomes a last priority.”
So CBS is looking to fill 125 spots at Vancouver’s Oak Street Clinic to meet hospital need.
Poon says there’s always a need for all blood types, especially O negative. She adds the clinic is open both Good Friday and Easter Monday.
