Vancouver Aquarium staff say Tiqa, the beluga whale, died of a massive amount of fluid around the lungs and heart.
It was likely caused by some type of heart failure.
But veterinarian Martin Haulena says more tests need to be done.
Tiqa also had heart lesions, something Haulena says were not detected prior to the necropsy.
