Transit cops face assault charge

Two transit cops are facing charges, after allegedly assaulting an pepper-spraying a 27-year-old man in February.

It happened at the Granville Skytrain station, while they were responding to a report of a man in some kind of distress.

Police claim the assault took place as the man was trying to walk away.

Constables Alfred Wong and Bruce Shipley are both charged with assault.
