SURREY, B.C. – Surrey RCMP say a shooting Tuesday night in that Metro Vancouver suburb was targeted and appears to be gang-related.
The attack occurred just after 10 p.m. in front of a home in the 8800 block of 131 Street.
Insp. Dan Splinter says the victim was found on the lawn in front of the home and the 28-year-old man is known to police.
Splinter says the man is being treated in hospital for a gunshot wound.
Witnesses called police after hearing gunfire, but Splinter says it is too early to comment on possible suspects, and no arrests have been made.
A 31-year-old man was killed in a shooting in North Surrey on Sunday night and two men died and two others were severely wounded in three targeted shootings around Metro Vancouver since the start of the year.
