Two Langley men facing charges relating to several property crimes

Two Langley men are facing charges in connection with a number of property crimes.

73 year old Roeloff Dendryver and 30 year Derek Hall are the accused.

Hall is alleged to have offered to do some engine work on a truck in 2011 and later — to have reported the truck stolen.

Corporal Holly Marks says in March of this year, Dendryver went to a local dealership and test drove a Dodge pickup.

“A short time after he goes out on the test drive, he calls to report that he’s been carjacked and that the vehicle has been stolen.”

Police searched a property where both of the accused live — and found a loader and bulldozer that had been reported stolen.

They also found the truck Hall had allegedly reported stolen, the keys for the new Dodge pickup from the dealership, and a stolen utility trailer.

The truck from the dealership was discovered at a home of a relative to Dendryver.
