BURNABY, B.C. – Two 19-year-old men have been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the discovery of a man’s severely burned body in Burnaby, B.C., last December.
RCMP Sgt. Jennifer Pound says police believe 20-year-old Branson Sanders’ body was dumped in some bushes after he was killed in a Surrey home.
Mounties believe there were several witnesses in the residence when Branson was murdered and they’re asking those people to come forward with information about the horrific killing.
Police received a 911 call after the body was found last Dec. 2.
Its condition was such that an autopsy was needed to determine the victim’s sex.
Shakib Shakib of Burnaby is one of the two men charged, while the second is a Surrey resident who can’t be named until the charge against him has been formally sworn.
