Perhaps the numbers will drop now that the B.C. government plans to freeze financial compensation for Crown corporations.
But several high-level public-sector executives earned more than $ 450,000 last year.
Once again, the highest paid was University of BC president Stephen Toope, who earned $ 581,000 in 2011.
But if you factor in severance, the former director of corporate finance at the BC Securities Commission was paid even more: Martin D.C. Eady pocketed nearly $ 647,000 including almost $ 400,000 in severance.
The soon-to-be former head of the BC Pavilion Corporation, Warren Buckley, took home $ 565,000 last year.
Other top earners include Worksafe BC CEO David Anderson at $ 466,000 and BC Lotteries boss Michael Graydon at $ 461,000.
