There is a large fire burning in Port Kells.
The blaze has shut down southbound traffic on the Golden Ears bridge.
Translink says buses running through Port Kells have also been cancelled or diverted.
This caller to our sister station AM 730 describes to reporter Adam Hoffer.
“They have a bunch of tankers in the yard…and one of the tankers was in the building and blew up and then the building caught on fire”
REPORTER: What was the building? a factory of sorts? a chemical plant?
“It was a…think it’s like a trucking company…they have a bunch of truck tankers in there that they work on”
She says there were numerous explosions.
The blasts happened around two thirty this afternoon.
