She’s one of the “Real Housewives of Vancouver.”

And Reiko Mackenzie is also the wife of a real-life gangster.

Mackenzie describes herself as an adrenaline junkie, mother of two from Shaughnessy.

But it turns out, her husband, Sunny, used to go by a different name – Sun News Lal…best known as an associate of slain gangster Bindy Johal, who went on trial for the murders of brothers Jimmy and Ron Dosanjh.

He was acquitted, but in a case that garnered international attention after co-accused Peter Gill slept with juror Gillian Guess.

Lal now uses the last name Mackenzie, also used by his brother,  who was murdered in 1998 — in a shooting that injured his own parents.

In a statement to CKNW, the show’s producers say Reiko married Sunny several years after the acquittal.

And now, nearly two decades later, they’re focused on their family and future.
