Van Police lay more charges in historic sex assault case

Former Vancouver lifeguard Abraham Kiewiet is facing 10 new sex related charges.

Vancouver Police say Kiewiet has been arrested and re-released.

Police say he has conditions including staying from kids and places like parks and schools where children congregate.

Kiewit is now facing 22 charges relating to 10 potential victims.

The victims are between 11 and 17 years old at the time.

Police also say they believe there are lots more victims out there and they are encouraging others with information on Kiewiet to give them a call.

The 70-year-old Kiewiet is alleged to have sexually assaulted his victims during the 1970’s and 80’s.
