Vancouver rally against CBSA raids

A noon hour rally outside Canadian Border Services Agency office in downtown Vancouver by families of people who were detained yesterday in several raids across the city.

The illegal migrant workers were arrested by CBSA members at sites across the city.

Two of their wives admit at the rally that their husbands – both from Honduras – were working here without work permits and, in fact, never even tried to obtain them.

What they’re also upset about is the raids were carried out with camera crews in tow for a reality TV show.

Another man says the workers came here to work on  the Canada Line and Olympic Athletes Village and he says the federal government should cut them some slack.
