About three dozen people rallied outside Vancouver’s main library to support the start of the Egyptian revolution on its one-year anniversary.
“[We] are pretty much criticizing staff against the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces. [We] are saying that [we] want the regime down, [we] want a civilian state, [we] don’t want military rule. Torture that has been happening by staff is unacceptable,” says organizer Mohammed Hussein.
He says the rally is part of a global movement to bring attention to Egyptians’ unmet demands.
