With the London Olympics just over a month away, Vancouver is getting ready to give athletes a big send off at the Olympic Village tomorrow.
For swimmer Scott Dickens, returning to Olympic competition for the first time in eight years after missing the cut for Sydney 2008, the send-off ceremony will provide a taste of what’s to come.
“I’m really excited to be a part of it, speak to athletes, coaches, staff – and taking it all in, really soaking in the Olympic experience, because you really don’t know when you’ll be back there.”
Dickens beat defending 100-metre breaststroke champion Kosuke Kitajima in his last major meet before London 2012.
