VPD officer under investigation

A Vancouver Constable is being investigated after a handcuffed prisoner was kicked in the chest. 
 
VPD spokesman Constable Lindsey Houghton says an officer with 10 years experience has been placed on desk duty since an incident Wednesday night.

A robber had fled a store at West Broadway and Hemlock with cash and merchandise, and was tracked down to a house nearby, where he was taking off his clothes, “Police found a naked man at that location, arrested him and transferred him to Vancouver General Hospital due to an apparent bad reaction to the drugs.”

Houghton says the incident happened after the arrest.

The man was naked, handcuffed and sitting on the ground when a short video submitted to police shows him being kicked in the chest allegedly by one of the officers.
 
Abbotsford Police are also investigating.
 
The video was submmited by a member of the media.
