The Stanley Cup playoffs haven’t started yet, but Vancouver Police are already pleading with Canucks fans at risk of getting duped by ticket scalpers to be careful.
Constable Lindsey Houghton says some scammers are operating out of Britain and California.
They ask victims to transfer cash using Western Union and the would-be buyers never get what they think they’ve paid for.
Houghton says this warning comes as a pre-emptive strike because the fraud gets worse during playoffs.
