Warning to those looking for PNE parking

If you think parking at the PNE is expensive, wait until you hear about the potential fines for illegally parking in the neighbourhood.
Fines start at $ 100 for those who illegally park, while residents who allow illegal parking could be smacked with a $ 2000 fine.
Taryn Scollard with the City of Vancouver says finding alternative transportation might be the way to go.

“So the best way to get to PNE would be to use transit, to bike or to walk. If you do drive your car, it’s best to use one of the designated parking lots in the area.”

A spot in a designated area costs $ 20 but many PNE-goers have traditionally paid residents to park on their property.
