Warrant details show disturbing history of high-risk offender

Court documents show a high-risk offender –prompting a rare public warning from BC law authorities– has a disturbing history of violence.

Police searched Kayla Bourque’s Burnaby home last March 22nd and her family home in Prince George on April 5th.

That’s where they found evidence the now-23 year old video-taped her crimes and had thoughts of becoming a serial killer by the time she was 12.

Investigators say she openly identified herself as homicidal and fantasized about murdering her mother, brother, homeless people and even one of her college room-mates, but never followed through because she feared getting caught.

Bourque confessed to killing several animals –including her own pets– and claims she told a suicidal boy to do it online.

She also said she was studying criminology at SFU to better understand her own behaviour.

Bourque, who’s completed her sentence for various crimes, is now living in Vancouver under nearly 50 court-ordered conditions.

They include a curfew, limited access to the internet, a ban on weapons and staying away from anyone under age 18.

Vancouver Police have also promised to monitor the woman who was adopted from a romanian orphanage as a child.
